410: Sneak Up

I found out today that I totally CAN type the Euro symbol on my keyboard!  Here, watch!  €!   €€€!   €€€€€€€€€€€€€€!!!  I AM NOW UNSTOPPABLE.  The input was as simple as Option-Shift-2 or Ctrl-Alt-E, which is so totally obvious and I didn't even need to look it up on the internet at all.

Here's a band that I definitely need to talk about:  the French rock band Shaka Ponk.  As their mission statement, the band strives to blend the catchy rhythms of rock and dance with high-octane visuals and high energy performances, and let me tell you, they've succeeded in that goal.   By mixing traditional rock sounds with various electronic and dance genres, Shaka Ponk creates truly infectious beats, and their visuals onstage and in-video create all the hype you could ever need in a lifetime.  Here are some of their best videos - which I don't even need to find myself, because the person who recommended them to me, Marty McFly (I'll pretend that's his real name), has already picked out the greatest ones ever for us.  Let's start off with the video for their song "Do."  The animated monkey you see in their videos is named Goz, and you love him.  Next is a live cover of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus," which once again proves to be the song with the raddest electronic blues riff ever.  And finally, to show off their amazing and crazy live shows, here's the music video for their song "Let's Bang."  Don't watch it at work, there be naked peoples.  I'd like to thank the totally real Marty McFly for this kickass rec, you are awesome dude.  That's all for this week folks, see you all on America's Monday night!
