Song of the Day

Killer Queen
Sheer Heart Attack (1974)

One of my favorite songs from the Queen + Adam Lambert concert was their rendition of this classic hit.  Lambert starts off the song laying across an ornate couch in his leopard-patterned top, fanning himself with a gold fan, playing up the posh that is this song's topic.  He hits all the appropriate falsetto notes, and Brian May executes his solo flawlessly.  After finishing the song, Lambert turns to the crowd and desperately reassures us that "That's not the real me, I swear!  It's a character!"  He's adorable.

Sheer Heart Attack was Queen's third album, and their first big success, featuring several hits and concert staples, such as "Stone Cold Crazy," "Brighton Rock," and of course, "Killer Queen."
