Song of the Day

I Fought The Law
The Clash
The Cost Of Living (1979)

Here's one of The Clash's best-known songs, I Fought The Law.  Originally written by Sonny Curtis, and then popularized by the Bobby Fuller Four, The Clash heard it in their recording studio one day and knew they had to add it to their repetoire.  The song's theme concerning law enforcement made it a perfect punk rock song, and their cover became one of the most popular versions of it.  It remained in their live set for most of their history.
