Song of the Day

Adrenaline Mob
Omertà (2012)

Here's a great song from the new album by Adrenaline Mob.  The song is one of my favorites that didn't appear on their original EP, and you can hear the blend of rock and metal elements in the song.  Several other tracks on the album are actually closer to rock than they are metal, and there's even a ballad or two in there.  This song has an absolutely exceptional guitar solo by Mike Orlando, during which Mike Portnoy also gets to go crazy on the drums. Mike Portnoy's playing is still impressive during the rest of the song, but the song itself doesn't call for very much complexity.  He adds that by himself, because he's Mike Portnoy.
