The Blues Brothers: Music From The Soundtrack (1980)

I was listening to ZZ Top's cover of Jailhouse Rock today, and it made me start thinking "This cover is cool, but I still like The Blues Brothers' one the best."  And so that's why I decided to put up this song for today.  The Blues Brothers was an awesome movie with an UNBELIEVABLE blues and gospel soundtrack, and are by far one of the best acts to come out of Saturday Night Live, ever.  Actors John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd play Jake and Elwood Blues, two brothers who are "on a mission from God" to get their old blues band back together.  Aykroyd and Belushi are the only members that play made-up characters; everyone else in the band play themselves, and the whole group continued to perform live together after the movie's release.  This makes them more of a real band than a fictional band, since only two of the dozen members play characters, and since the band has continued to perform without Aykroyd and Belushi in recent years.
