Song of the Day

May 22, 2012
No More Heroes
Slash (with Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators)
Apocalyptic Love (2012)

This song is one of the most memorable from the album, with a lead guiar riff that is instantly recognizeable as one from Slash.  Combine that with a kickass solo, a beautifully sung verse by Myles, and an awesome chorus, and you get a full cluster of fuck yeah being sent through your ear holes.  You might notice that this song isn't exactly in that "classic rock style," but instead kind of has a modern rock feel to it.  Many bands today concern themselves with trying to sound like a "classic rock band", but Slash has never cared about whether he sounds oldschool or not.  To him, he just wants to play "rock", whatever that term implies, and so many of the songs on this album are a pleasant blend of classic bluesy rock and modern hard rock.
