Here's a change of pace. The Sultan is a huge fan of Broadway musicals, so I'm playing one of MY favorite musical pieces. This is a great song from "Memphis", a show all about the origins of rock and roll during the 1950's, and the racial atmosphere in the United States at the time. So that's pretty cool already, that it's all about rock's evolution out of Black blues music, but there's also another reason why it's awesome. The music to the show was composed entirely by David Bryan, otherwise known as the keyboardist from Bon Jovi. You know all those opening keyboard riffs from early Bon Jovi ballads? The guy who was playing those wrote the music to this show. Oh, and it's a good show. Probably should've mentioned that too.
