Song of the Day

Inside The Fire
Disturbed
Indestructible (2008)

Disturbed are one of those metal bands that are hard to pin down to just one specific genre.  Sometimes they sound like nu metal, sometimes alternative metal, sometimes you just gotta call them fuckin' regular old heavy metal and leave it at that.  But great songs can exist regardless of genre, as the band proves time and time again.  This is a song about a suicide that singer David Draiman had to deal with as a teenager.  In the song, the narrator is standing over the body of his girlfriend, who had just committed suicide, and the Devil is standing over him, telling him to do it too.  "Take your place inside the fire with her."
