Song of the Day

September 10, 2012
Somebody To Love
A Day At The Races (1976)

This song is often said to be mimicking the style of a 100 person gospel choir with its complex overdubbed vocal parts.  The vocal harmonies also make people relate the song to their previous hit, "Bohemian Rhapsody."  Freddie Mercury has said that his fascination with Aretha Franklin was a huge influence for him while writing the song.
