336: Self-Conscious

Man, it's really fun passing out for 12 hours and then waking up to find you should've uploaded a comic hours ago.  I hope I can do it again sometime.  Also, MAN Jolie's hair came out so red today, amiright?!  Must be that sunlight from being outdoors.  Speaking of which, it feels like the background in this comic is a little discombobulating, doesn't it?  I'm pretty sure it's because it's uneven between the panels, so lesson learned, I guess.

And now I'd like to share a fucking kickass Australian rock band with you all, one that has been around since the 1980's and has even been inducted into the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry) Hall Of Fame.  That band is the Hoodoo Gurus.  Though they were a platinum-selling artist in Australia, very few people knew about them abroad, which is a real shame, because their music deserves to be shared.  Their style is somewhere between regular rock n roll and pop rock, with their most famous hits leaning towards the pop side and their other songs leaning more towards rock, even close to punk at times.  But regardless of how you would classify them, the one constant truth is that they are infectious as hell, and every song is an upbeat, catchy, rock and roll gem.  I'll give you guys a bunch of their songs to listen to, to show off all their different angles, and because I can't decide which ones I like the best.  So, to start us off, here's one of their biggest pop hits, "What's My Scene,"  and then here's one that's got a bit more rock to it, called "Leilani."  And then what about this song; doesn't this shit sound totally punk?  And finally, just because I can't listen to this song without smiling, I give you "Less Than A Feeling."  I'm having trouble finding any song by them that I dislike, but I am happy to keep searching for one for a long, long time. :)  Let's all give a huge thanks to Blake from Australia for sharing this band with us!  They rock, he rocks, and by proxy, you guys all rock as well.  See you all tomorrow!
