I had been talking to the Sultan about punk rock today, so I wanted to play a little Clash on the site today. London Calling was The Clash's biggest album, and is highly regarded as one of the best albums in rock history. It ranked #8 on Rolling Stones' (totally not-biased) list of the 500 best albums of all time, and received unanimously great reviews. My favorite part is the album cover, a picture of Paul Simonon smashing his bass guitar on stage, which has since become iconic. To me, It represents a still-frame of punk rock at its very essence.
