Acoustic blues song played on a 12-string acoustic guitar. Many people, myself included, have assumed that the song was written about SRV's alcoholism, but we were incorrect. The song was actually written by SRV's friend and fellow famous blues guitarist Doyle Bramhall, and is about their friendship.
The Sky Is Crying was the first of many posthumous SRV releases, and contained entirely new tracks. Most other posthumous albums would be compilations and greatest hits.
