While the Parlor Mob's first album was heavily based on blues riffs, their second album Dogs was much more pop and pop-alternative based. You can hear both styles in this particular song, where the main guitar riff is very bluesy, but the chorus is a very poppy. Most of the songs on this album lean towards the poppier side, which makes it less of a hard rock album and more of a pop rock album.
