Eluveitie, the world-famous folk metal band from Switzerland, has probably been the most recommended band for me this past year. Incidentally, it also happens to be the band that I FORGET TO MENTION most often, this past year. Eventually it seemed like anything short of beating me over the head with it wouldn't get me to remember, but now I finally did! Hooray for me! You've most likely heard of Eluveitie if you're a fan of folk metal, they might be one of the most popular folk metal bands in the world. But for those of you who haven't heard of them before, you're in for a real treat. These guys use every awesome folk metal trait to their full advantage - traditional instruments, clean female vocals, extreme male vocals, and even singing many songs in the ancient language of Gaulish. Here are a few of their most popular songs for you all, starting with "A Rose For Epona" (impossible for me not to think of Zelda, no matter how hard I try), then following with "Thousandfold," and finally the Gaulish-sung "Slanias Song." Happy folkgasms everyone.
That's all for today, everyone! I'm on my way to a Playstation All-Stars party, so I'll see you all tomorrow!
